Privacy Policy

Blinky's Fun Club ("we", "us") operates www.blinkyslearning.com.au. We are based in Australia and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Who our service is for

Our learning activities are designed for children aged 3 to 8, but accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. Children do not sign up themselves and we do not ask children for personal information.

What we collect

• Grown-up details you enter: your name, email address (if you create a membership) and the PIN you choose.
• Child profile details you enter: first name or nickname, age and a chosen character. Please do not enter surnames, addresses, schools or photos of faces.
• Learning progress: stars, levels completed, badges, streaks and rewards you write.
• Drawings you choose to add to the fridge gallery (stored on your own device).
• Basic technical information such as device type and error reports, used to keep the site working.

Where it is stored

Progress, child profiles, PINs and gallery photos are saved in your own browser's storage on the device you use, so they stay with you. If you create a paid membership, billing is handled by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card details.

Voice features

Blinky speaks using a text-to-speech service. Only the short scripted lines written by us are sent for speaking. We do not use your microphone, we do not record your child's voice, and no audio is collected from you.

How we use information

• To run the learning activities and remember each child's progress and rewards.
• To provide and bill a membership where you buy one.
• To fix faults and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for behavioural advertising.

Advertising and third parties

There are no third-party ads anywhere on the site. We use a small number of service providers (hosting, text-to-speech and payments) who may process data on our behalf, including overseas, under confidentiality obligations.

Your choices

You can view, change or delete any child's data at any time in the PIN-locked grown-ups area, including resetting stars and progress or removing a child entirely. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored on that device. To request access to, or correction or deletion of, information we hold, or to make a privacy complaint, email us at privacy@blinkyslearning.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell members by email.
